With ReValver 4 also comes the introduction of the ReValver Amp Store, allowing users to purchase new amps, stompboxes, effects, and ACT content through in-app.
It’s very similar feature-wise to free products offered by Native Instruments and IK Multimedia, so it will be fun to compare them and decide on which one is the best pick. Peavey’s ReValver 4 also features ACT (Audio Cloning Technology) modules that allow the user to mold and shape the guitar sound at both the input (before amp modeling) and output. I’ve yet to put this free guitar amplifier suite to test, but it seems like a very nice offer on paper. This set of effects can be further expanded by purchasing additional tools in the Amp Store. The basic free version of ReValver 4 features two virtual guitar amplifiers, a cut-down version of the RIR 2 cabinet modeling tool with three virtual cabinets and three microphones, one distortion and one tremolo guitar pedal, along with several other bonus tools.
